Music coming to Stamford Diversity Festival in August
Stamford Diversity is an open access, free, family friendly festival which will take place on the Stamford Recreation Ground from 11am-6pm on August Bank Holiday Monday (30th). The Festival is being funded with £5,000 from South Kesteven District Council Community Fund, £1,000 Stamford Town Council Grant and money from the sales of Stamford World Cook Book (available for £12.95 from All Good Market and Cakes+co in Stamford) which features recipes from locals of different heritages.

AUSTIN, Texas - The Texas Department of Public Safety honored slain Troopers Chad Walker and Moises Sanchez at the 2021 Peace Officers Memorial Service Tuesday morning.
Both troopers were fatally shot in the line of duty. Trooper Walker was killed in Limestone County in March 2021. Trooper Sanchez was killed in McAllen in 2019. Two years later, but it seems just like yesterday. Trooper Sanchez’ widow, Yvonne Sanchez told FOX 7 Austin. They’re still here for us, the blue family is a big family and we’re very proud to have them alongside.
Texas DPS Honors Fallen Officers at Memorial Service
AUSTIN, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) remembered and paid tribute to Texas Highway Patrol Troopers, Texas Rangers and Special Agents who lost their lives in the line of duty at today’s 2021 Peace Officers Memorial Service.
Those honored included Trooper Moises Sanchez, who died in August 2019, and Trooper Chad Walker, who was killed in March 2021. The service was held at DPS Headquarters in Austin, with Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick as the guest speaker.
“Today, I am deeply humbled to speak at the 2021 Peace Officers Memorial Service,” said Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. “Since I have been Lt. Governor, I have attended far too many funerals for our fallen officers. I stand with Texas DPS and our brave peace officers, and will continue to work diligently to better protect our Troopers as they put their lives on the line, every single day, for Texas communities.”
