Cumbrian swimming sensation Luke Greenbank said he was ‘chuffed’ after his successful trip to the European Aquatics Championships. The swimmer took to social media over the weekend to say that he had enjoyed an amazing week at the championships and was excited to look ahead to the summer. Greenbank came away from the competition in Budapest with one gold and one silver medal. The 23 year old, who has previously been a member at Cockermouth Swimming Club, gained a gold medal in the British swimming team s relay race, as well as a silver in the men’s 200m backstroke final. Greenbank narrowly missed out on the 200m backstroke gold, being pipped at the post for the win.
