Five people are missing at sea after tropical cyclone Ana. Among those reported missing is a three-year-old toddler of Lautoka. The boy went missing while accompanying his grandfather on Friday to check their boat which was stuck in the mangrove plants along the Velovelo seaside area in Lautoka. Police Chief Operations Officer Abdul Khan said they are currently searching for the two fishermen of Cikobia who were reported missing last Wednesday. Khan said the report was lodged by the Mata ni Tikina Udu at the Labasa Police Station after the fishing boat failed to reach Vunikodi village. He said they are also searching for the other two other fishermen were reported missing at Nakasi Police Station after they failed to return from a fishing trip around the Nukulau waters. ....
Two women have been reported missing in Vatuwaqa. National Disaster Management Office director Vasiti Soko said details of how the two women went missing are unknown at this stage as an investigation is still being carried out.
