SLEEPY EYE District 84 Superintendent John Cselovszki reported nobody was in COVID-19 isolation and just one adult was in quarantine in the school Wednesday.
“This is good news. The numbers are looking great,” Cselovszki said “We are fully (COVID-19) vaccinated K-12.”
Cselovszki said a virtual kindergarten roundup was held Monday on Google with 28 parents and students participating.
“We plan to give one-on-one building tours by appointment,” said Cselovszki.
The board unanimously approved, on a motion by Brian Nelson, seconded by Bryan Sellner, several consent agenda items:
⢠An open enrollment for one student tranferring out to the Minnesota Virtual Academy.

SLEEPY EYE The District 84 Board of Education unanimously approved a resolution Wednesday to expel a student according to the Pupil Fair Dismissal Act.
Action came on a motion by board member Bryan Sellner, seconded by Joleen Dittbenner.
According to the resolution, the student and his parents were served written notice of the school district’s intent to initiate expulsion proceedings and a copy of the Pupil Fair Dismissal Act.
The student and his parents elected to waive a scheduled hearing with the understanding that with the waiver, the proposed terms of expulsion would be submitted to the school board for action.
