American Flags Returning To Boston Common This Week
Talk about a sight for sore eyes! As the son of a military man, I m happy to say that, after a certain pandemic canceled the event last year, the Memorial Day Flag Garden is returning to Boston Common this week, just in time for Memorial Day. Dad would be proud.
The Memorial Day Flag Garden, an event that dates back more than a decade and features more than 37,000 American Flags, was temporarily sidelined last year. Apparently, COVID-19 has no respect for Old Glory.
WHDH/7 News Boston reports that as Massachusetts slowly returns to normal(as normal as things can get), the Flag Garden is coming back. The Massachusetts Military Heroes Fund(MMHF) said the flag garden will be on display at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument of Boston Common beginning Thursday through Memorial Day.
