Weymouth chef’s greatest joy is feeding homeless Wicked Local Weymouth resident Seth Green, 57, is a chef who could work in a restaurant and earn high wages, but his greatest joy is cooking meals for homeless people at the St. Francis House in downtown Boston. “The job satisfaction outweighs any paycheck I need,” he said. “At my age, job satisfaction matters a lot.” St. Francis House on Boylston Street is the largest non-profit daytime shelter in Massachusetts. Shelter vice president Maggie Burns said the facility is a refuge for people who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. “There are folks who come to St. Francis House to augment their food and clothing because they can’t afford to pay rent,” she said. “But the majority of the people who come are experiencing homelessness.
