Programme set to prepare local youth for future employment

May 26, 2021 James Kon PETRONAS Carigali Brunei Ltd (PCBL), a subsidiary of PETRONAS, launched the PETRONAS School of Life programme yesterday to educate Brunei Darussalam’s youth on essential life skills beyond the classroom. Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman officiated the launch, sponsored by PCBL as part of its corporate social responsibility. (Bernama pic) BATU PAHAT: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has uncovered another tactic used by drug smugglers with the discovery of 8kg of syabu from a buoy in the waters off Sungai Sarang Buaya yesterday. Batu Pahat maritime director Mohamad Othman said the drug, worth RM440,000, was found by officers patrolling the waters off Batu Pahat and Muar at 2pm. He said the team detected a suspicious object at the buoy at Permatang Kuala, five nautical miles south of Sungai Sarang Buaya.
