A Timmins man who was already being sought in connection with an armed robbery at a pizzeria earlier this week, was subsequently arrested Friday evening shortly after a separate robbery which occurred at a Mountjoy Street convenience store.

City council opted to expand its 2021 paving program, nearly doubling the funding allocated for the annual road work during Tuesday night’s meeting.
“We are recommending we add $1 million, plus HST, to our paving contract and amend Bylaw 2021-8537,” said Patrick Seguin, the city’s director of public works and engineering.
