Our frost advisory will take us through 9 a.m.in the North Bay Valleys and Southern Salinas Valleys. The rest of the Bay Area hovers in the 40s this morning.
Today temps will warm despite the frigid start in the valleys. Afternoon highs are expected to warm from two to five degrees region wide.
Although as high pressure builds in, offshore winds will gust in our higher elevations in excess of 25 mph this afternoon and remain breezy at the coast.

AccuWeather forecast: Weekend warmup Welcome to a warmer weekend! Our marine layer compresses this morning as a ridge of high pressure continues to build into the state. Sunny skies and above normal temperatures will result the next three days. Sunday will feature the warmest readings with afternoon highs as much as 15-20 degrees above normal.
Coastal communities will still be in the comfort zone today, but numbers will rise even at the shoreline to above-average readings tomorrow. An afternoon sea breeze will keep Pacifica in the mid-60s today while Castro Valley warms into the upper 70s & Pleasanton well into the 80s this weekend.
