The 40-foot fully accessible pier is located at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center picnic grounds.
The park partnered with the Rainy Lake Sportfishing Club and Voyageurs Conservancy on the project.
“This pier is an important and integral recreation area for the community of International Falls, Ranier, and the visiting public,” says Superintendent Bob DeGross.
Officials will officially celebrate its opening with a public gathering on July 31, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
A food truck will be available on site.
This event is free to the public and includes fishing programs for new and young anglers (poles will be provided), yoga on the lawn, and interactive education stations.
