NEW YORK ( Monday, Aug. 16, 2021 ) – Seattle Sounders FC forward Raúl Ruidíaz has been voted the Major League Soccer Player of the Week for Week 19 of the 2021 MLS season.
Vazquez signed a one-year contract with the Galaxy, with a one-year option. I like everything about him, Vanney told a virtual media call. Arguably he s one of the most intelligent soccer players that I ve ever been around. His ability to organize the game, understand what the game needs, his vision for the final pass. His leadership within our group, I think, is going to be really important as we establish the culture and a vision moving forward. And his technical ability is off the charts. But he processes the game in his mind as fast as anyone I ve ever seen.

D.C. United on Monday hired Hernán Losada as head coach, enlisting a young, largely unknown Argentine from the Belgian league who promises to bring entertaining soccer to Audi Field and elevate an organization that hasn t contended for the MLS championship in years.
Losada, 38, is the eighth coach in club history, succeeding Ben Olsen, who was fired in October after 10 years. Like Olsen in 2010, he becomes the league s youngest coach.
Losada signed a three-year contract, which includes a club-held option year. Terms were not disclosed.
