PETALING JAYA: Federal Court and Court of Appeal judges will be vaccinated on May 31, says Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.
The Minister in the Prime Minister s Department said that the vaccination effort would be led by the Chief Justice. The government has allocated enough to vaccinate all judges in the country, said Takiyuddin, who is in charge of Law and Parliament matters.
He added that his office is arranging for all High Court, Sessions and Magistrate s Court judges to be vaccinated.
Takiyuddin said that this will be done through the respective state governments and state health departments. The government considers judges and court officers to be frontliners owing to their duties which involve direct interaction with the public. With the vaccine, it is hoped that their exposure to the risk of Covid-19 infection is lowered, Takiyuddin said.
