On May 14, the priests who had significant anniversaries of their priestly ordination last year and this year were recognized by Bishop Oscar A. Solis and their peers. Shown from left are Msgr. Dear brother priests, religious sisters, deacons and wives, seminarians, principals, staff and lay faithful,
On behalf of Bishop Solis and the priests of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, I am saddened to announce the sudden death of Father Reynato (Rene) T. Rodillas. He had tested positive with the COVID-19 virus on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, and was sent home from the emergency room with oxygen to quarantine and to recover at home. Date of death has yet to be determined by the medical examiner, but was probably on Friday, January 8, 2021. He was 58 years old, soon to turn 59 this month.
