Top 5 things to do in Cincinnati this weekend: Aug. 6-8
1. Paddlefest
The nation s largest paddling celebration is a 9-mile float on the Ohio River that begins
Saturday at 7 a.m. at Schmidt Recreation Complex (2944 Humbert Ave., East End) and ends at Gilday Riverside Park (3540 Southside Ave., Riverside) where a Finish Line Festival follows, complete with live music, food trucks, craft beer, refreshments and vendors. Don t think you can do a full 9 miles? This year, you can stop at the halfway mark, which is the Cincinnati Public Landing (435 E. Mehring Way, Downtown). Registration fees run $75 (adult) and $25 (youth) for the 9-miler, $70 and $20 for the 4.5-miler.
2020 Best of Warren County winners announced Ed Richter
The Warren County Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced the winners of its 2020 Best of Warren County Awards.
Hosted annually by the WCCVB, the Best of Warren County Awards serve to recognize the many local shops, restaurants, events and attractions that make Warren County – known as Ohio’s Largest Playground – one of Ohio’s premier tourism destinations.
The awards, which feature 24 unique categories covering everything from dining establishments to festivals and events, began in late January with a two-week nomination phase. That initial phase garnered a record number of nominations, which were then tallied and used to name finalists across each award category. Locals and Warren County regulars were then invited to vote on those finalists to declare the winners.
