PETERSBURG - Business owners are joining forces to provide great entertainment at EggFest 2021 this Saturday in Old Towne.
The event will be hosted by Beaunuts Buttermilk Donuts and Old Towne Studio 7/ 7Moons Market. Various businesses in Old Towne are contributing to both the activities that will take place: children s egg hunt and adult scavenger hunt.
Beaunuts owner KB LaBrecque reached out to Studio 7 owner Denise Tipton with the makings of a fun idea.

Friday for the Arts! festival organizers hope winter-weather threat doesn t freeze them out
February s festival is set to highlight Black History Month with music performances and an art show. However, anticipated snow and freezing rain on Friday could dampen the spirits of the show.

Weather permitting.the show must go on.
In spite of COVID-19, Petersburg’s Friday for the Arts! on February 12 will bring us music, art, fun activities, food, new beers, and abundant good spirits. There will be music in two performing arts venues, and great exhibits at the Petersburg Area Art League [PAAL], as well as a Friday Funday macramé project at Old Towne Studio 7.

When was the last time you listened to live music in person? I bet for most of you it will be one year this March when COVID-19 was declared a national emergency.
The earliest I noticed live bands performing last year in my area occurred in Old Towne Petersburg in June.
On a temporary stage in the temporary outdoor dining area called Old Towne Square located on Sycamore Street between Bank Street and Bollingbrook Street in Petersburg, Main Street Petersburg, Inc., Old Towne s Alibi, DJ s Rajun Cajun, and Old Towne Studio 7 hosted a variety of performances at Music at the Square on Friday evenings.
