+ April 06, 2021 AN ADDITIONAL 7,200 doses of Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines arrived Tuesday, April 6, for Negros Occidental and Bacolod City.
Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, Provincial Health Officer said of the 7,200 doses, 5,200 are for Negros Occidental, while 2,000 doses are for Bacolod City.
The vaccines intended for the province will be distributed to the towns and cities divided into two doses, with 2,600 for the first dose and another 2,600 for the second dose, Tumimbang said.
The vaccines will be given to healthcare workers who have been identified by the respective local government units (LGUs).

+ March 18, 2021 AN ADDITIONAL 438 medical frontliners in Bacolod City were vaccinated with the Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines against coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data and analysis of Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF), on Wednesday, March 17, 2021, said as of March 16, a total of 354 medical frontliners assigned at various hospitals were inoculated with the AstraZeneca vaccine and 84 healthcare workers were also vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine.
He said on Monday, they already completed the first rollout of Sinovac vaccine with 2,350 medical frontliners inoculated.

This was stressed by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, chairman of Bacolod City Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF), on Tuesday, March 16, after more than 2,000 medical frontliners in the city were already vaccinated with Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines. This will encourage the public to avail of the Covid-19 vaccine, Familiaran said.
After the vaccination, he said there is no reported negative effect from the recipients of the Covid-19 vaccine.
Since last week, more than 2,000 healthcare workers, including doctors from various hospitals in Bacolod, were vaccinated with Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines.

+ March 14, 2021 SOME 2,315 medical frontliners in Bacolod City were already vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine and another 13 medical frontliners were inoculated with AstraZeneca vaccine against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).
Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data and analysis of Emergency Operations Center-Task Force (EOC-TF), on Sunday, March 14, 2021, said eight medical doctors and five barangay health workers received their first doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine at the Bacolod Government Center on Saturday.
