Boston’s own Jonathan Van Tam was the one to give health secretary Matt Hancock his first dose of coronavirus vaccine on Thursday.
Mr Hancock tweeted an image of him and England’s deputy chief medical officer “JVT” at the Science Museum.
In a post on Twitter, he said: “Brilliant! Got the jab. In & out in 8 minutes. Didn’t hurt at all.
“Massive thanks to JVT & the @sciencemuseum team. When you get the call, get the jab!”
During a press conference on Wednesday, the 42-year-old had said he was “delighted” to have received the call-up and that he was “looking forward to it”.

A man armed with a knife chased his victim down the street threatening to stab him, Lincoln Crown Court was told.
Peter Boswell approached Gary Woodcock as his victim walked with his partner along Baggholme Road in Lincoln.
Kevin Jones, prosecuting, said Boswell spoke to Mr Woodcock about a money dispute between them.
Boswell then produced the knife and shouted: “I’m going to stab you, you dirty rat”.
Coningsby farm shop and 149 new homes approved

A farm shop and 149 homes in Coningsby have been approved by East Lindsey councillors.
G.S. Gaines & Sons submitted an application to build the farm shop and homes on the land south of Leagate Road, Coningsby which will sit on 5.87 hectares of flat agricultural land split over two separate fields.
All homes will be two storey in height with 25 one bed, 36 two bed, 58 three bed and 30 four bed homes. 30% of the homes will be affordable (45) and there will be three local play areas on the site.
Developers said: “The affordable units have been placed around the site in small groups in order to blend with the overall scheme.”

More people from Eastern European communities are being invited to have a walk-in COVID-19 jab at Boston’s large vaccination centre.
The mass vaccination centre at the Princess Royal Sports Arena in Boston will be hosting another European day on Sunday, May 2, in an attempt to encourage more Eastern European people to get their coronavirus vaccine.
It follows two previous European days at the centre in April, and offers walk-in appointments of the AstraZeneca jab between 10am and 4pm.
