Hip Hop Education Center as the museum announces the kick-off of the plan as part of year-round programming leading up to the 15th anniversary of the Year of the Hip Hop Woman.
Fresh, Bold, and So Def Women (FBSD) began as a Hip Hop feminist intervention project for women of all ages to empower, cultivate, and inspire. The project builds upon the foundation laid by the Womanhood Learning Project launched in 2007 at New York University by the Hip Hop Association and a collective of women who joined forces to tell their story of Hip Hop as they know it. âIn this new era of Hip Hop, women are once again changing the game by building new pathways that empower and cultivate new talent. With all her hard work through the many clubs and teams she s a part of, Ally has made a substantial impact on the town of Reading. Ally has racked up many hours of community service because she loves to see others succeed and prosper, and if she can help that process then she s more than happy to.
