Davidson Hospitality Group has announced the appointment of Seth McDaniels as vice president, openings and transitions. In his role, he will be responsible for directing all new-build openings, acquisitions, and dispositions across company verticals, including Davidson Hotels, Pivot and Davidson Resorts.
McDaniels joins the team from Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where he served as director of openings, transitions and brand experience, overseeing preopening and transition budget development while creating and implementing all lifestyle brand operational standards. He held a similar corporate role with Two Roads Hospitality prior to Hyatt’s acquisition of the organization in 2018. During his combined four-year tenure, he successfully transitioned, opened and dispositioned 25 properties while managing 28 new-build projects. Paul Eckert joins as senior vice president, operations February 23, 2021
Davidson Hospitality Group has announced the appointments of Paul Eckert as senior vice president, operations, and Todd Stein as corporate executive chef, Davidson Restaurant Group.
Eckert (shown above) joins the team from Aimbridge Hospitality where he served as vice president of operations for three years, most recently focused on Evolution Hospitality where he carried a portfolio of assets leveraging his expertise in supporting development efforts and operational excellence in resorts, lifestyle, and independent hotels. Previously, Eckert spent nearly three years with White Lodging. Eckert’s hospitality career was forged during a 15-year career at Omni Hotels & Resorts.
Davidson Hotels & Resorts has refined its company architecture and rebranded as Davidson Hospitality Group. The following clearly defined operating verticals will now all reside under the new masterbrand, Davidson Hospitality Group:
Davidson Hotels: Davidson Hotels is the operating vertical of Davidson Hospitality Group focused on industry-leading heritage brands, including Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt.

Pivot: Pivot is the lifestyle operating vertical of Davidson Hospitality Group, catering to today’s independent, adventure-minded traveler through approachable design, locally-inspired food and beverage, intuitive, heartfelt service, and authentic experiences at each of its properties.
