yesterday in News Photo: Crawford County Now MARION Marion County Prosecutor Ray Grogran announced the fate of an Upper Sandusky man who led police on a high-speed chase through three counties on July 14th. Jeffrey Purvis videoed the chase and posted it live on Facebook. He pleaded guilty in the Marion County Common Pleas Court last week to one count of failure to comply, a third-degree felony. Purvis was sentenced to 18 months in prison. On his Facebook page, Prosecutor Grogan made this announcement: “Purvis’ actions on July 14th put many innocent drivers and law enforcement officers in harm’s way. His brazen attempts to make light of his actions by broadcasting them on social media is absolutely ridiculous. He could have killed somebody. Thankfully law enforcement officers kept following him, and eventually, he was stopped.” Grogan said.
