The cinema brewpub reopened its doors to the sound of screeching tires and emphatic declarations of “never turn your back on family” with a showing of
F9: The Fast Saga, the latest installment in the
Fast and the Furious franchise.
While the doors to Brewvies were closed during the pandemic, they took the opportunity to remodel the theater, including reupholstered seating. On Saturday night, Brewvies is hosting a Front Row Film Roast event featuring the much beloved
SALT LAKE CITY Many Utahns feel safe and comfortable going shopping or eating at restaurants by this point during the COVID-19 pandemic. But when it comes to entertainment and cultural events, there s more hesitation, according to a new survey from Y2 Analytics.
About 91% of Utahns say they feel comfortable going to a zoo, garden or aquarium, whereas only 52% feel the same level of comfort about attending an indoor concert, play or other live performance.
Researchers surveyed 1,104 randomly selected registered Utah voters in early March. An oversample of 649 registered Salt Lake County voters were also included in the data and responses were weighted to make sure no group was disproportionately represented.
More than a year after the pandemic shut down normal life, we’re all pulling back our window curtains and searching for any signs of hope on the horizon. There are now three available COVID-19 vaccines with emergency-use authorization from the FDA. While the CDC has put out cautious guidelines for the fully vaccinated, governors are lifting dining restrictions in states like Texas and Arizona, and Utah’s statewide mask mandate is set to expire April 10.
The (tentative) return of some of the state’s most popular summertime events gives us something to look forward to, even if they will look a little different this year. The only groups more excited than the general public for 2021 summer events might be the artists and performers.
