Snow on April Fools Day no joke
Snow flurries and wind chills in the 20s made for a memorable April Fool’s Day joke Thursday, but fortunately they won’t be seen again for a while.
The seven-day forecast calls for more seasonable and pleasant conditions for the first week of April, with readings expected to climb into the mid-60s by Sunday just in time for Easter celebrations and family gatherings.
Temperatures struggled to get above the freezing mark Thursday after hitting a high of 65 degrees on Wednesday. The normal high for this time of year is 53, with the mercury reaching 60 a year ago today, according to Monroe News’ records.
