Past rulers did not meet health needs of growing population: Punjab CM Usman Buzdar

National December 20, 2020 LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar gave approval to include the project of 1000-bed hospital on Ferozpur Road in Annual Development Programme. He directed for resolving the issues related to transfer of land allocated for the hospital at the earliest and said the general hospital is being constructed in Lahore after 30 years. He said rulers of previous governments did not bother to increase health amenities keeping in view the increasing population of the provincial metropolis. Every citizen of Punjab will be provided Sehat Insaf Card by 2021 as it is the commitment of the incumbent government to provide health coverage to its every citizen, the CM said.

Rs5 bn loan approved for Ravi Urban Authority to acquire land National December 18, 2020 LAHORE: The 39th cabinet meeting was held under the chair of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at the CM’s office here on Thursday. The meeting gave approval to further extend the lease of state land in Cholistan and Rahim Yar Khan on previous rates to the President of UAE. This initiative of the Punjab cabinet will further strengthen the ties between both the countries. The meeting gave principle approval of five billion rupees loan to the Ravi Urban Development Authority for acquiring the land. Moreover, the meeting also approved for providing state land for the master plan of Ravi River Front Urban Development Project. Authority will present its business plan and financial model for this purpose. Vice Chairman, LDA, Sheikh Muhammad Imran and Chairman of the Authority Rashid Aziz gave the briefing to the cabinet about Ravi River Front Urban Development Project.
