Margao : , March 12 (IANS) Mumbai City take on ATK Mohun Bagan in the final of the 2020/21 Indian Super League on Saturday at the Fatorda Stadium. The two teams had earlier faced each other in a decisive final match of the league stage in which Mumbai won 2-0 to win the League Winners Shield.
The two teams dominated the league stage were the first two qualify for the playoffs with 12 wins, four draws and four defeats. Both Mumbai and Bagan finished the season with 40 points which was seven more than third-placed NorthEast United but Mumbai s better goal difference helped them win the Shield.

Mumbai City FC defeated FC Goa 6-5 on penalties at the GMC Stadium in Bambolim and entered the finals of the 2020-21 Hero Super League. The second leg remained goal less after 90 minutes of scheduled time and 30 minutes of stoppage time and the match had to be decided via a penalty shootout.
Only Bartholomew Ogbeche and Raynier Fernandes converted their spot-kicks for Mumbai City FC, while Igor Angulo and Ivan Gonzalez netted for FC Goa as the match went into sudden death. Mourtada Fall, Ranawade and Mandar Rao Dessai scored in sudden death for Mumbai City FC, whereas Pandita, Ortiz and Adil all scored their penalties for FC Goa, but Glan Martins’ miss allowed Borges to score from the spot and book Mumbai City FC’s berth in the final where they will meet the winners from Tuesday’s game between NorthEast United FC and ATK Mohun Bagan.
