Today, Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced the Government’s latest review of the regional tier measures. Several more areas in the South-East will be moving into Tier 3 from midnight on Saturday, while just Bristol and North Somerset will go down into Tier 2, and Herefordshire down to Tier 1. Under Tier 3 rules, all theatres and entertainment venues must close.
The regions joining tier 3 are: Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Peterborough, the whole of Hertfordshire, Tandridge, Reigate & Banstead, Surrey (except Waverley), Hastings and Sussex on the Kent border of East Sussex, and Portsmouth and Gosport in East Hampshire.
