(WTWO/WAWV)– The Greene County community will come together to honor the life of Madi Moore, the 17-year-old from Linton died almost two years ago from graft vs. host disease after beating cancer. Her family plans to commemorate her life and the life of others who have died from terminal illnesses during ‘Madi’s Day of Hope’. Tera Orman, Madi’s mother said it’ll help them raise money for Madi’s Hope Foundation, foundation started by her family that helps sick children in need. “We’re ready to get back in our community and start helping more families in Madi’s honor. There are so many kids that are in need,” she explained. “Despite what happened with COVID-19, there’s still a need. There are still needs that are there. It was sad to not be able to help those that needed help.”

UND (17-31) trailed by five entering the top of the fifth, but rallied for six straight runs to earn its first win in the Summit League Championships since joining the league in 2018-19 and the second overall postseason win in the program’s Division I era (2008-present).

First student to complete the OHIO Honors Program graduates this spring Published: April 26, 2021 Author: Staff reports Before Marietta, Ohio, native Madi Moore set foot on Ohio University’s campus as a biochemistry major in the first full cohort of the OHIO Honors Program in fall 2019, she had earned two associate’s degrees. That previous coursework, completed during her last two years of high school through the College Credit Plus program, set Moore on a path to complete her bachelor’s degree at OHIO in only two years, becoming the first OHP graduate. “Being able to take my general chemistry and biology courses early really helped me to develop my interest and find a passion for it,” Moore said. “This just happened to put me ahead at OHIO, and with some careful scheduling, I am managing to complete my degree requirements in two years here.”
