Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. Minister of Labor and Social Protection A.Ariunzaya held a meeting with Kaori Ishikawa, Head of Office for United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Mongolia in connection with the termination of her term in Mongolia.
Minister Ariunzaya expressed her appreciation to Kaori Ishikawa for a broad range of collaboration between Mongolia and UNFPA, targeting youth and gender based violence, and invited the UNFPA Mongolia Head of Office to take part in the online launch of international youth day on August 12.
For her part, UNFPA Mongolia Head Kaori Ishikawa thanked to the Minister for the cooperation and noted her confidence that the partnership will become expanded in the future.

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. UNFPA and the Government of Mongolia, in collaboration with local NGOs and other UN agencies, celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) with a month-long campaign with the theme “#БИ .БАЙНА” (“Choose to Challenge”).
The nationwide campaign, which ran from 5 to 31 March 2021, encouraged people to challenge harmful gender stereotypes and biases that not only limit the opportunities of women professionally and personally, but are also the root cause of gender-based violence (GBV). The campaign also celebrated women from all walks of life who have shown exemplary leadership, especially in the context of COVID-19 response and recovery.
