If you’re desperate to see dance beyond watching TikTok, the Kennedy Center has just the thing: live performances. It recently announced the 2021-2022 season with exciting debuts (classical Indian dance company Akram Khan), big-name collaborators (Meshell Ndegeocello), and some reliable favorites (Alvin Ailey,
The Nutcracker). Looking ahead to next summer, the lineup also features a special week dedicated to Black artists within ballet, called “Reframing the Narrative.”
In October, New York-based Ronald K. Brown known for his bold work fusing modern, West African, Afro-Caribbean, and other dance genres will bring his company, Evidence, to present a trilogy of pieces.

FAIRMONT– The Alzheimer’s Association’s facts and figures for 2021 says there are more than six million people in America living with Alzheimer’s disease and the number is expected to grow to 13 million by 2050.
Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar, along with Senator Susan Collins from Maine, recently reintroduced the Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Act to expand training and support services for families and caregivers of patients with Alzheimer’s and related dementias.
This legislation would authorize grants to public and non-profit organizations to expand training and support services that improve caregiver health and delay long-term care facility admissions by keeping loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in their homes longer.

Fran was a wonderful Christian mother to Darla, Judy and Daryl, and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior Feb. 22, 2021. Her love for the Lord reflected the warmth and kindness that will live on in the many lives she touched.
