One battle, the outcome of which had an important role in hastening the end of the war, was the Battle of Haifa that took place on September 23, 1918. Less than two months after that conflict, on November 11, 1918, World War-1 came to an end. For showing exemplary courage during the battle, Colonel Bahadur Singh of Jodhpur Lancers received the Order Of British India (OBI) and Indian Distinguished Services Medal.
