STEUBENVILLE A valve replacement scheduled for Wednesday will leave residents of Pleasant Heights and Lincoln Heights without water.
Water Superintendent Jim Jenkins said crews will be replacing a 12-inch main line valve at the intersection of Lawson and Orchard avenues so the new water line installation can be completed. Work will begin at 7 a.m. and continue throughout the day, he said. Jenkins said water service will be resumed as quickly as possible once the new valve is in place, but there will be a boil advisory in place while samples are tested.
“We understand what an inconvenience this water outage is but it is needed to fix the water valve and lines properly to last into the future,” Jenkins said.
