Angelo State University’s RAMbassadors program and Honors Program held ceremonies commemorating their graduating members May 3 and 4, respectively.
The RAMbassadors ceremony took place in the Vista Verde Room at Plaza Verde. Graduating seniors were awarded stoles celebrating their time and efforts in the program. The event also commemorated other volunteers who have participated in the leadership program in the past.
RAMbassadors is a volunteer leadership program housed in the Office of Admissions. According to the campus website, the organization helps students learn time management, communication, customer service, marketing, interpersonal and leadership skills to benefit them in their future careers.
“We appreciate the support of the university as we continue to recruit our future Ram Fam,” Amanda Ritchie, assistant director of admissions, said. “RAMbassadors are a key part of that recruitment process.”

New Curative kiosk helps keep the ASU community safe
ASU on Jan. 25 partnered with biotech company Curative to provide free COVID-19 testing via a supervised kiosk at the ASU Pavilion to students, faculty and staff as they return to class for the 2021 Spring Semester.
Located between Plaza Verde, the CAF and the Pavilion, members of the ASU community can schedule a contactless appointment with a QR code located at the kiosk or schedule an appointment online on the ASU COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Updates website.
The Curative kiosk tests for active cases of COVID-19 rather than virus antibodies which exist after COVID-19 recovery.

The Game Changer
The Link’s modular, accessible homes strive to fulfill four key objectives: transferability, affordability, accessibility, and respect for the neighborhood. By removing physical barriers, the designers believe residents will be able to create more ties to one another economically, socially, and multigenerationally.
Floor plans include two-story homes, bungalows, flats, and studios, with homes physically connected through elevated pathways that meet at the central community garden. The pathways begin at street level and feature ramps that provide access to the porches and patios of other homes. The interior community garden is one of the development’s unique features, and home exteriors mimic the scale of nearby homes and the surrounding neighborhood.
