The FTSE 100 closed Tuesday up 8 points, 0.1%, to 6,531, while the FTSE 250 gained 26 points, 0.1%, to 21,113. It has been a directionless trading session as the bullish mood that has been circulating recently has faded, hence why European equity benchmarks are mixed, CMC Markets UK analyst David Madden wrote Tuesday.
