Minister of Youth & Sports, Honorable Namal Rajapaksa declared open the ‘Underwater Gallery Nilwella’ at Nilwella beach yesterday (10th April 2021).
Built with the contribution of the Sri Lanka Navy, this latest addition in the southern coast of Nilwella, would from here on attract more local and foreign holidaymakers towards this popular tourist destination.
The project had been set in motion after taking a wide array of matters into consideration. Among them; prevention of harmful effects on marine animals, plants and corals due to natural and human activities, protection of the marine ecosystem, creation of an artificial fish breeding environment, provision of artificial substrates for coral reefing and offering a magnificent site for scuba divers were factored.

Blinken will host the annual International Women of Courage (IWOC) Awards virtual ceremony to honor a group of extraordinary women from around the world, including an honorary award for seven women leaders and activists from Afghanistan who were assassinated for their dedication to improving the lives of Afghans.
The First Lady of the United States, Dr. Jill Biden will deliver remarks to recognize the courageous accomplishments of these women.

President Joe Biden is readying the release of his amnesty plan that will seek to increase legal immigration levels while legalizing 11 to 22 million illegal aliens a policy prescription that is likely to burden black American communities more than any other.
Biden and elected Democrats, this week, are expected to unveil their amnesty plan that is likely to propose increasing the flow of low-skilled foreign workers to the United States to compete for jobs against unemployed Americans. Similarly, the plan is likely to give green cards to nearly the entire illegal alien population who would be immediately allowed to legally take U.S. jobs.
