With govt. running 9,636 buses, people need not depend on omni buses, says Rajakannappan The State government on Saturday said it will take stern action against private bus operators under the Motor Vehicles Act if they are found to be fleecing passengers travelling to different parts of the State ahead of the lockdown.

AbhiBus Services, an online e-ticketing platform that aggregates solutions to 3000 private bus operators has partnered with ticket booking platform, Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).
With this partnership, IRCTC will get the bus inventory across 100,000 Bus routes and IRCTC customers will get options to book tickets for Sleeper/Non-sleeper, Ac/Non-AC buses as per their requirement.

Police give his name as Hussain from Perla Kedamoole near Kumble of Kerala
The police have arrested a man who allegedly harassed a woman while travelling on a city bus here last week.
The woman had narrated her ordeal on Instagram and had posted the photo of the accused which led the police to trace him.
Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar on Thursday gave the name of the accused as Hussain (41), a worker, hailing from Perla Kedamoole near Kumble in Kasaragod district of Kerala.
