SC scraps actions against Faez, family Top Story April 27, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday accepted identical petitions challenging its last year’s order of June 19 referring the matter to the Federal Board of Revenue with a direction to initiate tax proceedings against the spouse and children of Justice Qazi Faez Isa. A 10-member larger bench headed by Justice Umer Ata Bandial allowed the review petitions filed by Justice Qazi Faez Isa and various Bar associations against its order of June 19, 2020. In a reply submitted to the 10-judge bench of the Supreme Court hearing a set of review petitions, Justice Isa recalls that on June 19, 2020, the Supreme Court directed the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) chairman to submit a report to the secretary of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) on the off-shore properties.
