The husband and father was part of a group who launched a menâs shed at Brooloo just three years ago.
Numabulla Menâs Shed secretary Dennis James said Mr Bowe had been with them from the start. âHe was a very personable fellow, he managed to look after us very well,â he said.
âHe was a great mate.
âWe were all shocked to hear that the accident ⦠actually involved him.

Paramedics were called to the scene of a private address in Gympie after an occupant there was reportedly bitten at about 2.55pm.
The patient was assessed for unknown injuries and taken from the scene to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.
The latest incident follows at least four on the region’s roads to kick off the Easter weekend, with two crashes on the Bruce Highway northbound causing traffic chaos.
A two vehicle crash near Tiaro blocked one lane of the highway at about 10am, while traffic going in the same direction was delayed by a minor incident near Bauple in the early afternoon.

A Southside street has become the second worst street for assaults in Gympie following Mary St, according to a Queensland Police data website.
It was a busy year overall for Gympie police as they dealt with a total of 168 assaults, which was the highest recorded total since 2002 when there were 174 assaults.
Looking more closely at the data, the months of March, June and December had the most recordings, with December being the worst, at 22 assaults.
Acting Gympie Police Station officer in charge Scott Poole said the spike in December was due to more people travelling and drinking in the region during the holiday season.

Subscriber only MORE than 100mm of rain pummelled parts of the Gympie region last night leaving some residents stranded at home this morning. To the south west of Kilkivan, 110mm reportedly fell at Mt View at Cinnabar, while 90mm near Glastonbury was enough to make crossing Glastonbury Creek impossible this morning. Officially Gympie received 31mm in the past 24 hours from yesterday until 9am this morning according to the Bureau of Meteorology, Kandanga received 67mm, Borumba Dam 55mm and 51mm fell at Imbil.

“We will work closely with the Noosa, Gympie, South Burnett and Cherbourg councils to ensure local projects get underway, supporting jobs and businesses, and helping people in Wide Bay get home sooner and safer.” Southside and the beginning of Eel Creek Road, a designated growth corridor but also an area teeming with bushland and wildlife.
