Ninja warrior challenge course opens at Locust Shade Park The Prince William County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Tourism held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the new Warrior Challenge Obstacle Course in Locust Shade Park. Potomac Local News was there for the ceremony in Triangle, which attracted many representatives from the Prince William County Government, Quantico Marine Corps Base, as well as state officials Located about a mile from the Marine Corps base, the obstacle course was created to give a place for residents in both the county and the base to get outside and exercise. The course, according to county parks and recreation department director Seth Handler-Voss, is inspired by the television show American Ninja Warrior where contestants run through a challenging obstacle course.

This year, Historic Manassas Inc. is hosting their Manassas Farmers Market during peak season, which will run through mid-November.  The Market is split between Thursdays at the Harris Pavilion in Historic Downtown Manassas and Saturdays at the Prince William Commuter Lot across from Baldwin Elementary School. New vendors coming to the Manassas Farmers Market this year include: Stoney Creek Cigars Vazaroma Handcrafted Products In addition, the Market also has a SNAP Program. It allows people with food stamps to use them to shop at the market. This happens through a grant that allows the Market to match those people with their dollar-for-dollar program.
