Dangerous speeds clocked in Bruce Highway operation

Motorists are urged to take more care on the roads particularly with recent weather events making driving conditions more difficult. There can be no excuse for placing other people at risk on the roads by driving at high speed. Sgt Flynn said police were also concerned with the emergence of fatigued driving as a contributing factor in road crashes. The chances of being involved in a serious traffic crash when driving tired are high with slower reaction times, reduced vigilance and higher risk taking, he said.
