BRISTOL, Vt. The Hartford High boys lacrosse team shook off two year’s worth of rust to open the season with an 8-3 victory at Mount Abraham-Vergennes on Saturday.
The Hurricanes used a suffocating defense to limit the hosts all afternoon. A balanced offensive attack proved more than sufficient on the other end of the field. Carter Nalette had a team-best three points on two goals and an assist for Hartford.
Gordon Willey and Chris Pierce each had a pair of goals for the Canes. Joe Barwood had a goal and one assist. Ezra Mock added a goal, and Bentley Boonyaharn had an assist.
