GREEN BAY – Tramon Williams, one of the Packers greatest undrafted success stories, has announced his retirement from the NFL after 14 seasons.
Williams, who started 153 of the 205 career regular-season games he played, registered 728 tackles (565 solo), 34 interceptions, 4½ sacks, 185 passes defensed, six forced fumbles, 11 fumble recoveries and 28 special teams tackles.
Williams also was an instrumental part of the Packers Super Bowl XLV season, including his two-interception performance (one returned for a touchdown) during Green Bay s 48-21 win over top-seeded Atlanta in the NFC Divisional playoffs.
