Bhind (Madhya Pradesh) [India], March 6 (ANI): A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was recently shot dead after a dispute over illegal sand quarrying in Bhind.
The BJP leader identified as Rocky Gurjar, a resident of Mehgaon Old Basti and was working as the treasurer and sand trader in the Mehgaon division was killed late on Thursday night.
Speaking to the media, Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Kumar Singh on Saturday, said: Rocky Gurjar along with his friend Samrath Singh was going towards his village with the sand trolley when he was stopped by the company employees when a fight started over the royalty of sand.

Munger, Jan 28: A BJP leader in Bihar was on Wednesday shot at by unidentified assailants here, triggering a spat between the ruling party and the opposition over alleged deterioration in the law and order situation.
Azfar Shamsi, a spokesman of the state BJP who also taught at the Jamalpur College in the district, was shot at by motorcycle-borne attackers while his car was entering the premises of the institute, Superintendent of Police, Munger, Manavjeet Singh Dhillon, said.

The assailants sped away after firing several rounds and Shamsi was left profusely bleeding, with bullet injuries in a leg and close to one of his ears, the SP said.
