The Up s And Down s Of Shahid Kapoor s Career
The initial days of Shahid Kapoor’s career in the industry weren’t as rewarding as they are now. He actually started his career as a background dancer in Shiamak Davar s dance institute and appeared as a background dancer in the films Dil To Pagal Hai and Taal, and then moved into the field of acting. As an actor he did receive a lot of criticism for his performances but eventually as he turned older his choice of movies and roles also also turned stronger and more impactful.
His debut film Ishq Vishk was a sleeper hit at the box office but that year he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Following his debut he featured in a completely different role in Fida again a film that received a lot of criticism but Kapoor shined in his role. Even after noteworthy performances there was a time in 2005 where all his films like Dil Maange More, Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi, failed at the box office.
