Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski
FARGO (KFGO) â Nine months into the job, Police Chief Dave Zibolski has reorganized his leadership team.
Zibolski has named Travis Stefonowicz, assistant police chief. Joe Anderson will remain deputy chief, a rank held by three people under former Police Chief Dave Todd. Zibolski has also promoted Chris Helmick to the post of captain, in charge of the Criminal Investigations Division. Lieutenant George Vinson has been named a captain, in charge of the professional standards division.
Zibolski says the promotion and appointment process included internal and outside evaluators.
Fargo Fire Chief Steve Dirksen and West Fargo Police Chief Denis Otterness were among those who took part in the process, along with Faith Shields-Dixon, a local organizer of Black Lives Matter.

BALLSTON SPA An incumbent village trustee and a “smart growth” advocate who ran with him as the “A Better BSpa” party were elected to the Village Board Tuesday in a five-way contest for two seats on the board.
Unofficial results from the contested election gave incumbent Trustee Shawn Raymond 359 votes, just ahead of his running mate, Ben Baskin, who received 336 votes.
Not far behind was Mary Price-Bush with 329 votes, followed by Sean Mulvaney with 243 votes, and Robert Bush Jr., with 226 votes, according to the figures provided by Mayor Larry Woolbright.
