Perth motorists advised to top up before price hike 25 May
The average price of regular unleaded petrol (ULP) is set to increase by over 31 cents per litre (cpl) to 158.4 cpl tomorrow, so FuelWatch is encouraging Perth drivers, if they can, to fill up today to save money.
FuelWatch advises that on Wednesday 26 May 2021, most branded retailers are hiking their ULP price: Coles Express hiking by up to 44 cpl to 171.9 cpl; 7-Eleven, Caltex/Ampol and Caltex Woolworths to 169.9 cpl; Puma to 169.7 cpl; BP to 168.9 cpl; United to 159.9 cpl; and Vibe to 159.5 cpl.
Perth’s weekly petrol price cycle results in prices, on average, being cheapest on Monday and Tuesday and at their most expensive on Wednesday and Thursday – that’s why FuelWatch recommends filling up today.

Australia installed its highest ever number of rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) panels in 2020, according to Clean Energy Regulator data analysed by energy efficiency experts from Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO.

Data from the Clean Energy Regulator analysed by CSIRO shows that in 2020, around Australia, over 362,000 rooftop solar PV installations were issued with small-scale renewable energy scheme certificates (STCs) under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
This is an increase of 28 per cent from 2019, when 283,991 installations were issued STCs, with the majority of installs under the scheme being residential, and a smaller number for commercial and industrial properties.
