A Georgia man from Cherokee County has admitted to killing eight people in three different beauty salons within the greater Atlanta areas, said police in a Wednesday morning news conference.
The violence began on Tuesday afternoon when the suspect, Robert Aaron Long, allegedly visited Young’s Asian massage, about 40 miles north of Atlanta, and preceded to shoot and kill four people while wounding another.
The gunman then fled the scene, and less than two hours later, police responded to a “robbery in progress” at Gold Spa beauty salon in Atlanta, where they found three women shot dead. During their investigation of the scene, police were called to a different spa across the street and found an eighth victim.

17 Mar 2021
The state of Utah is considering a bill that would require all mobile devices sold in the state to include filters to block pornography.
Engadget reports that the state of Utah is considering a bill that would require all devices sold in the state to block pornography. The State Legislature recently passed the proposal and the decision to sign the bill into law now lies with Gov. Spencer Cox (R) who has until March 25 to decide.
Measure HB72 states that every tablet and smartphone sold in the state after January 1, 2022 should have a preinstalled content filter that is capable of “blocking material that is harmful to minors.” The filters could be disabled by adults for specific content, however, the restriction cannot go into effect until five other states pass similar measures.

Cox, a Republican, hasn’t made known whether he will sign the bill, but his spokesperson, Jennifer Napier-Pearce, told The Associated Press in an email that the governor “will carefully consider this bill during the bill signing period.”
The deadline for the signing of the bill is March 25.
