Portugal with more female managers than EU average By TPN/Lusa, in Business, News · 05-03-2021 15:52:00 · 0 Comments Portugalhad 36 percent women in management positions in the third quarter of 2020, slightly above the 34 percent of the European Union (EU) average, according to data released on 5 March by Eurostat as part of International Women s Day. According to the European statistics office, 46 percent of workers in the EU are women, but only 34 percent hold management positions. In relation to member states, the highest percentage of women in management positions in the third quarter of 2020 was recorded in Latvia (45 percent) and Poland (44 percent), followed by Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia and Sweden (42 percent each).
