Even Biden NH electors are staying home on Inauguration Day

Karen Dandurant, news@seacoastonline.com PORTSMOUTH – While they may have had plans to go to Washington to watch Joe Biden sworn in as the 46th president of the United States, at least three of the four New Hampshire electors say they will now stay in the state, glued to their televisions for every moment of the inauguration ceremony. “I will cry, tears of joy,” said Portsmouth resident Mary Carey Foley, one of the four people who cast Electoral College votes for Biden in New Hampshire. She and her mother, the late former Portsmouth Mayor Eileen Foley, have enjoyed a friendship with Joe Biden spanning decades. “Sadly, I am not going. I never dreamed, after all these years of hoping for this, that I would not be able to go, that I would not be there to watch it.”
