Ewton brings entrepreneurial eye to Springs

Aaron Ewton Courtesy Meegan Dobson Aaron Ewton moved to Colorado Springs from Claremore, Oklahoma â the birthplace and hometown of Will Rogers, âOklahomaâs Favorite Son.â In Claremore, thereâs a memorial museum dedicated to the entertainer, actor, cowboy, columnist and humorist. His tomb rests on the grounds, overlooking Rogers State University â where Ewton completed his undergraduate education. Ewtonâs home here in Colorado Springs is overlooked by another memorial dedicated to The Cowboy Philosopher: The Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun. Itâs an 80-foot observation tower and monument built by Springs entrepreneur and philanthropist, Spencer Penrose â whose remains are interred within the chapel.Â

Restaurants and bars remain under on-site dining restrictions as we write this and the industry as a whole has faced a massive reckoning thatâs left some spots closed permanently, others on hiatus, and many at deathâs door.
