Local pushback to the proposed K-6 draft curriculum has continued throughout the past month. Several Fort Saskatchewan and area parents and teachers have been circulating petitions, and Elk Island Catholic Schools board announced that they will not be piloting the new draft curriculum.
On Thursday, April 22, Elk Island Catholic Schools (EICS) Board Chair Ted Paszek announced the board would not be piloting the province’s K-6 draft curriculum, following an April 21 EICS Board of Trustees public meeting.
