WARREN The Warren area had come to know Apostle Loretta Pernice for her work to help others facing challenges and addictions through the Elim Christian Center in Warren and Total Deliverance and Pathway Sober House.
Pernice died Feb. 14 in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Joseph Warren Hospital following complications from a recent battle with COVID-19. She was 62.
The Rev. T. Anthony Bronner, presiding bishop and chancellor of Turning the World Upside Down Covenant Fellowship Inc. extended his sympathies and condolences to the family of Pernice.
“Pastor Pernice played an instrumental role in the developing of lives in the Warren and Ashtabula churches. She personified the relatable evangelist and the every person’s pastor,” Bronner said in a statement.

WARREN Apostle Loretta J. Pernice, 62, of Warren, went home to the Kingdom she longed for at 8:19 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, in the Intensive Care Unit at Mercy Health-St. Joseph Warren Hospital following complications from a recent battle with COVID-19.
Apostle Pernice was born Wednesday, May 7, 1958, in Warren, the daughter of the late James D. and Janie May Reynolds Johnson. She was a lifelong area resident.
She attended Warren Western Reserve High School.
Apostle Pernice was the senior pastor and founder of Elim Christian Center in Warren. Apostle Pernice was born with an anointing on her life through the marriage of Elder James and Mother Janie May Johnson.

WARREN Linda Lena Mendenhall, 67, of Warren, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at Concord Care Center Meadowbrook Manor.
She was born July 23, 1953, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of the late Nicholas Lucia and Angelina Merlina Lucia.
On Nov. 6, 1978, she married Michael “Mickey” Mendenhall. They have shared the last 42 years and many wonderful memories together.
She was a 1971 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. Over the years, Linda worked for the Warren Credit Bureau and Aetna Freight Lines. Linda enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, going to casinos and loved spending time with her family.
She will be dearly missed by her husband and family.
WARREN JoAnn N. Brunstetter, 88, died late Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 12, 2021, at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
She was born Nov. 29, 1932, in Johnstown, Pa., a daughter of the late Earl and Margaret Bushka Nicholson.
JoAnn was a 1950 graduate of Johnstown High School. After moving to Warren, she was employed as an assembler with the former Packard Electric Corp. for 31 years, prior to retiring.
She married Thomas F. Brunstetter on Dec. 22, 1975. They shared 26 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He preceded her in death Jan. 17, 2002.
JoAnn enjoyed taking care of her home and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas (Janette) Roach of Warren and Jeffrey (Lynda) Roach of Howland. She also leaves behind six grandchildren, Jessica (Dan) Seikel, Christin Ormsby, Corey Roach, Colin (Allyson) Roach, Sara (Derek) Jeffrey and Emily Roach; and five great-grandchildren.
